Three Names on One Desk
Mademoiselle, Modolla and Voya Vacations sit on the same desk as the client work. The same people build all of it, on the same routine.

Mademoiselle, Modolla and Voya Vacations are run by the studio. They sit on the same desk as the client work, built by the same people in the same week.
We have built on the web since 1999. The licence came in June 2000, under another name, Turbo Gold, and the studio was renamed Artasce in 2006. The first website we sold cost $100.

The portfolio since then runs from a lawn care app to a video game site. Three of the names in it are ours to keep.
Why we run our own
Client work
Client work teaches a client’s business. It rarely shows what a site needs in its second year, because by then the site belongs to someone else.
Our own sites
On our own sites the studio is still there after launch: the second month of small fixes, and the page that sits quiet for a year until somebody needs it.
We wanted that every week, so we kept three close. One site could drift into a hobby.
Three running at once need a routine, and it is the same routine a client gets.
If a shortcut breaks something on our own sites, we are the ones who pay for it. That has made the studio slow to take shortcuts on anyone’s.

What carries over
- Our own pages get the same type, spacing and image work as a client’s.
- They get the same check before anything goes live.
- We also go back and open a site after launch when nobody has asked.
A client sees that when they ask for a change and the studio has already made that kind of change, more than once, on a site of its own.
Each of the three keeps its own look and its own reader in public. Behind them is one studio, with the same habit it had when the first site sold for $100, now spread across more sites at once.
Here is the work. Most of it is still live.
