A gallery site for a painter. Fifteen abstract works from one concentrated period, a commission conversation, and a shop that never gets between a visitor and a canvas.
The painting is the page
No hero graphic sits on top of the work. A canvas fills the screen edge to edge and the typography gets out of its way — white serif on paint, nothing else.
Commissions are a conversation
A visitor starts with a painting they love, a photograph of their room, or a feeling they cannot name. The palette gets worked out together rather than picked from a form.
Studio notes give people a reason to return

An artist's site that does not look like an artist's site.
Most painter portfolios are a grid of thumbnails on white, which is the one presentation guaranteed to flatten the work. Colour needs room, and a thumbnail does not have any.
Stillform inverts it. The paintings are given the whole screen and the interface is reduced until it is barely there — a wordmark, three links, a bag that only appears when it has something in it. The commerce is present and working, but it is never the first thing anyone sees.
The artist is not named on this page by request. The work speaks without a biography attached to it, which is more or less the point of the collection.
